What is the National Defence Academy (NDA)?

The National Defence Academy (NDA) is the Joint Services academy of the Indian Armed Forces located in Khadakwasla near Pune, Maharashtra, where cadets of the Army, Navy, and Air Force train together. It is the first tri-service academy in the world.

NDA alumni have led and fought in every major conflict since inception, including 3 Param Vir Chakra and 9 Ashoka Chakra recipients. It transforms a hesitant young cadet into an honourable, physically and mentally competent officer and a gentleman.

4-Level Training Methodology

NDA Mathematics Special

Building 300-mark Maths mastery with shortcut tricks, speed calculation, and previous alumni question banks.

GAT (English & GS)

600-mark GAT coverage including English Grammar, History, Geography, Science, and General Knowledge.

SSB Interview & OLQs

Psychological tests, personal interviews, and leadership training to foster Officer Like Qualities.

Physical Ground & GTO

Daily running, strength workouts, stamina building, and practical GTO obstacle course preparation.

Conducted twice a year by UPSC (Notifications in Dec/Jan & May/June; Exams in April & September)

Class 9th Phase

Class 10th Phase

Advanced 11th Maths & Science + Intensive NDA PYQ solving and SSB Psych Test orientation.
